I ’m really protective of my morning walks with Stanley, my dog. I need to have that time just for me. Looking after your mind is just as important as looking after your body. The reason why mental health is so taboo is that it's not talked about or supported or accepted in the same way as other health problems are.

By doing the Sunday Surgery programme on Radio 1 I've come to realise that mental health problems are more common than most of us would imagine. The truth is, mental health problems can affect anyone at any time. It ’s crucial that all of us learn to read the signs of mental health problems – and realise that all of us have a part of play looking after our own mental health and in supporting people close to us.
