Jessica: When I look back to my high school days, there were a few girls who would never wear short sleeves. When you saw their arms you could clearly see the marks from where they had self-harmed. At that age nobody knew what to do or say. I hope it's different now. It ’s crucial to be supportive of someone who is going through problems.
Michelle: There must be so many people experiencing mental health problems who are scared to talk about them. They just don't know how the other person will take it. I panic all the time – but it soon passes. Imagine if that feeling didn’t go away.
Kevin: It ’s really worrying that people feel threatened by someone with a mental health problem. That person is much more likely to harm themselves than somebody else. When I was in my first year at college my best mate was really depressed. He went from being really lively and fun to being quiet and not speaking to anyone. You feel really helpless seeing a friend go through that. I could only make it clear I was there for him to talk to.
Kelli: You need to know what signs to look out for. Not eating, not sleeping, panicking...
Tony: Everyone needs to understand more about mental health, so they can look after themselves, as well as their mates.
